FOUR DAYS DEADLINE FOR UAE EXPIRED VISITORS
Visitors whose visas expire after March 1 have only four more days to regularize their visa status, according to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) in the UAE. Visitors will be fined if they do not renew their visa status by September 11 or leave the country within four days.
On August 11, the ICA said it was extending the entry visa deadline by a month to allow tourists to travel to their home countries without incurring any fines. The deadline is September 11. The ICA recommends that visitors regulate their status if they wish to remain in the country. If visitors are in the UAE after the deadline, they will have to pay a fine of 200 dirhams (Rs 4,000) on the first day. After that, he will be fined 100 dirhams (Rs. 2 thousand) per day.
