GERMAN PLAYER IN US OPEN 2020 AFTER 26 YEARS
Almost 26 years later, a German player enters the US Open final. Alexander Zverev of Germany had a spectacular victory over Carlo Boston of Spain in the semi-finals on Friday in New York. In the women's singles semifinals on Friday, Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) defeated six-time champion, Moodoseed Serena Williams 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. Serenade was the beginning of this struggle. Williams, 39, broke the deadlock with an easy 6-1 victory in the first set. But from the second set, Azarenka recovered greatly. Serena faltered exceptionally. Naomi Osaka advanced to the final. In the semifinals, she defeated Jennifer Brady (USA) 7-6 (7/1), 3-6, 6-3. The women's singles final will be held on Saturday. It starts at 1.30 am Indian time.
