Rajasthan captain Steve Smith has been fined Rs. League organizers have announced that he will be fined for his slow over-rate in the match against Mumbai. "According to the league's code of conduct, Smith will have to pay Rs 12 lakh for his first offense as captain of the team this season."

The match between Mumbai and Rajasthan was played in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Mumbai came first to bat and their batsmen excelled collectively. This set a huge target of 194 in front of the opponent. Rajasthan, which landed in the intersection, faltered early on.

 

The batsmen marched to the pavilion in a row. This narrowed the team's chances of winning. Butler had 70 (4 fours, 5 sixes off 44 balls) batting alone. With no one to support him, Rajasthan lost by a huge margin of 57 runs.
