INDIAN WARNS CHINA WITH JIMEX 2020
The joint naval maneuvers of India and Japan (JIMEX-2020) started on Saturday (September 26). The acrobatics will take place in the North Arabian Sea from September 26 to 28 as part of JIMEX 4th Edition.
The biennial JIMEX (JIMEX) event between the Indian Navy and the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) will help develop mutual war skills and enhance friendship between the two countries.
India's joint naval maneuvers with Japan have gained prominence over the past five months of conflict between India and China in Ladakh. India hopes to use the naval exercise between Japan as an opportunity as Japan is also outraged by China's behavior. Dragon Country is sending signals from China to India that it is ready to face any situation. India-Japan Navy Cooperation strengthened with the JIMEX program.
It also discusses the steps to be taken by the governments of the two countries to meet the challenges facing the world. The two countries have been cooperating with each other through JIMEX in the areas of weapon firing, cross-deck helicopter operations, anti-submarine, and air warfare drills.
The latest JIMEX-2020 is planned for state-of-the-art operations. This time the acrobatics are performed in a non-contact-at-sea-only format in the corona setting. The Indian Navy's INS Chennai, INS Teg, and INS Deepak ships are participating in these maneuvers.
The Kaga, Izumo, and Ikazuchi ships are participating on behalf of the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force. The last JIMEX event was held in 2018 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. INS Satpura, INS Shakti, and INS Kadmat took part in it. These included a submarine, a long-range maritime patrol aircraft, and several helicopters.
