RONALDO 100 INTERNATIONAL GOALS
Legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 100 goals internationally (in matches played for the country). He thus became the first European player to achieve this feat and the second player overall. Portugal beat Sweden 2–0 in a Group 3 league match as part of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Nations League tournament. Ronaldo, 35, scored the 100th goal of his international career in the 45th minute. Ronaldo then scored the second goal in the 73rd minute to seal the victory. With this goal, Ronaldo reached 101 international goals. Ali Dai (Iran) holds the record for most goals scored internationally. Ali Dai, 51, who retired in 2006, has scored a total of 109 goals for Iran.
Ronaldo, who made his debut for the national senior team in 2003, has played 165 matches for Portugal so far. He scored at least one goal against a total of 41 countries. Ronaldo has scored a maximum of seven goals against Lithuania and Sweden.
Ronaldo scored 41 of his 101 goals in the first half of the match ... 60 goals in the second half. Overall, Ronaldo has scored nine hat-tricks in his international career.
