The ban will take effect from Sunday. TIKTOK and WeChat apps will be removed from app stores in the United States. This decision is unlikely to change unless US President Donald Trump changes his mind at the last minute. The U.S. Department of Commerce has said it will ban the U.S. public from downloading them from any app store.

The Trump administration alleges that these companies pose a threat to national security and send users' data to China. But both companies, including China, have denied the allegations.

WeChat will be completely shut down in America from Sunday. But, TIKTOK is not only available in app stores. Those who have already downloaded and are using it will continue until November 12. Tic Tac Toe will also be completely banned from November 12.

In the wake of the Trump administration's concerns and objections, TikTok expressed dissatisfaction with an unprecedented level of transparency.

TikTok said they would fight this executive order, which was brought in unfairly without following the prescribed process.

WeChat ownership company Tencent, meanwhile, said it would continue talks with the U.S. government in response to the latest developments and was looking for a long-term solution, saying the restrictions were unfortunate.

According to an executive order issued by the Trump administration in August, all transactions with Chinese companies must be completed within 45 days. Accordingly, the Commerce Department issued the restraining orders.

However, on Friday, Trump said, "TikTok is a wonderful company. It's very popular. But we need security from China, ”he said.
