Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has set another record. He became the second wicket-keeper to take 100 catches in the T20 league. The match between Punjab and Chennai was played on Sunday. The first innings of the match were bowled by Shardul Thakur in the 18th over. The first ball of the over went to Punjab batsman KL Rahul touching the bat edge.

 Dhoni flew into the gall and received the ball. With that catch, Mahi surpassed the milestone of one hundred catches. Before Dhoni, Kolkata's Dinesh Karthik had 103 catches (186 matches). Dhoni was in second place, followed by Parthiv Patel (66). Suresh Raina is the only fielder to have a record of 100 catches. Recently, Dhoni played a record number of matches in the T20 league. Dhoni rewrote the record of 193 matches held by Suresh Raina.

In the match against Punjab, Chennai won by ten wickets as the openers erupted. Checked for a series of defeats with this win. Chennai has won two of the five matches they have played so far.
