MERCEDES BENZ FIRST VEHICLE IN INDIA
German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the first electric vehicle EQC in the Indian market. Its starting price is Rs.99.30 lakhs.
This price only applies to the first 50 cars. It is equipped with an 80 kW lithium-ion battery that can travel 445-471 km on a single charge.
It consumes 20.8-19.7 kilowatts of electricity over a distance of 100 km. The two motors mounted on the front and rear axles together provide 408 horsepower. It reaches a top speed of 100 mph in 5.1 seconds.
It will be available on the e-commerce site and will be retailed in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, the company's CEO Martin Schwenk said. He said the car can be charged at their charging network, which is available at 100 locations in 48 cities across the country.
