Australia has done all the work. Revenge for defeat in the T20 series. Won the three-match ODI series 2-1. England tasted a series defeat on home soil after 2015. The Aussies won by 3 wickets in the final, decisive ODI at Manchester. Glenn Maxwell (4 × 4, 7 × 6 off 108; 90 balls) and Alex Carey (7 × 4, 2 × 6 off 106; 114 balls) hit a century with two balls to spare. The match went thrilling with 73k5 losing wickets in the innings.

The Aussies did not get off to a good start in the innings. Aaron Finch (12) became the LB in Vokes bowling at 21 for the team. The team scored Maxie at 285 and Carrie at 293. In the end, Cummins (4 *) and Starc (11 *) scored the required runs to give victory.

England won the toss and elected to bat first. Another opener, Johnny Bairstow (112; 12 × 4, 2 × 6 off 126 balls), scored a brilliant century, though opener Jason Roy Duck out. Jose Butler (8), Ian Morgan (23) failed but Sam Billings (57; 4 × 4, 2 × 6 off 58 balls) and Chris Vokes (53 *; 6 × 4 off 39 balls) scored 302 for the loss of 7 wickets. With the end of the series, some players from England and Australia will be landing in Dubai for the IPL.
