Ola's license has not been renewed to continue services in London due to non-compliance with public safety regulations in line with Transport for London (TFL) standards, which are the London Transport Regulator.

Ola failed to comply with the standards, especially in the case of drivers and vehicle licenses. Ola said the company would appeal the decision. The move comes just days after Uber, Ola's rival, was licensed to continue its cab services for another 18 months.

Responding to this, TFL said, "Ola license has been properly driven by over a thousand trips by drivers. Ola company has 21 days to appeal their decision. During this time they can continue their operations." However, Ola said that the problem was due to a technical glitch in the database and that they were working to resolve the issue. Ola UK MD Mark Rosendel said their main principle is to work closely and transparently with regulatory bodies such as TFL.

They said they would not be working with TFL during this review period. They said they would respond openly and transparently to the issues raised. It was also revealed that we are going to appeal against the TFL decision. Ola Raiders, drivers as always promised to provide safe services to the people of London.

Headquartered in Bangalore, Ola launched commercial services in London in February 2020 with 25,000 drivers. However, Ola did not disclose the number of passengers served or the number of trips completed so far. Meanwhile, the impact of the corona epidemic has also been huge on Ola Cab Services.
