3. Indian Institute of Technology Madras( IITM)
IITM is one among the foremost of all Indian and global institutes of public significance in advanced technological education, as well as both introductory and applied exploration. In 1956, the German Government had proposed to offer specialized backing to India with an ideal of establishing an institute of advanced education for the engineering disciplines in the country.

IISc was innovated in 1909 through the common sweats of Jamshedji Tata, the Maharaja of Mysore and the Government of India. In 1886, Jamshedji Tata conceived of a university and in 1898 created an talent for establishing such an institution.
The Government of India also, in discussion with scientists in England and India, decided to establish the Institute in Bangalore, where the Maharaja bestowed 372 acres of land. The foundation gravestone was laid in 1911, and the first batch of scholars got admitted in the same time.

5. Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur( IITK)
IITK is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1959. This is one of the premier institutions established by the Government of India. The faculty comprises donors of major National and International awards.
These include Padma Shri, Humboldt Research Award, Infosys Prize, TWAS Prize, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award, Fulkerson Prize, NationalJ.C. Bose Fellowship, Indian National Science Academy( INSA), National Academy of lores( NASc), Goedel Prize, Indian National Academy of Engineering( INAE), Indian Academy of Science( FASc), and Swarnajayanti Fellowship.
The Kanpur Indo- American Programme( KIAP) at IIT Kanpur from 1962 to 1972 was set up to unite nearly with the outside world in order to keep pace with the moving borders of wisdom and technology. Under KIAP, IITK entered specialized backing from 9 leading institutions of theU.S.A.
