WOMENS IPL TEAMS
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is very popular all over the world. Despite some similar leagues being held in other countries, the IPL is getting a special response from cricket fans.
It is learned that the 13th season of the men's IPL is currently underway in the UAE. The BCCI has decided to play matches against women's teams after reaching the play-off stage of the league.
The board announced the three teams and their captains on Sunday. The Super Novas team will be led by Harman Preet Kaur, the Trail Blazers team will be led by Sma Thi Mandhana and the Velocity team will be led by Mithali Raj.
The matches will be held in the UAE from November 4 to 9. The BCCI has revealed the details of the respective teams. The board has already informed the selected women, cricketers, to come to Mumbai to participate in the IPL.
They will be kept in quarantine in Mumbai for a week and then taken to the UAE. There are three league matches and the final match in the women's IPL.
The Super Novas and Velocity teams will meet in the first match on November 4. The Velocity and Trailblazers teams will meet on the 5th and the Trailblazers and Super Novas teams on the 7th. The final match will be played on the 9th.
The eagerly awaited T20 Challenge (Mini IPL) for women cricketers kicks off on the 4th of next month. In the first match, the Velocity team led by Mithali Raj will face the Supernovas led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Another team will serve as captain Smriti Mandhana for the Trail Blazers.
These girls' matches will be held during the men's IPL playoffs. Each team will play two matches. The final will take place on the 9th of next month.
According to India time, all matches start at 7.30 pm and the 5th match will be played at 3.30 pm.
